The lackadaisical Taurus energy emanating this month belies many of the changes coming our way in June.  We start out with the Sun, Jupiter and then Mercury moving into the sign of luxury and manifestation.  Jupiter, who in Taurus is all about materialization, is bringing us what we have hoped and dreamed for on the material plane, especially as he is reaching the later degrees of the sign.  So we may reach a pinnacle of reality-based matters and find that even there we may choose to seek out value in other areas.

This will be patently true when Venus, planet of love and value, turns retrograde in Gemini on May 15th.  Gemini is the twins, duality, masculine/feminine intertwined and we may find ourselves questioning our prescribed definitions of these energies.  Gemini is about play and exploration and we may be lucky to find a willing cohort or partner in crime.

Gemini is also about the truth/lies and what we learned in school.  When retrograde, we are allowed the option to assess the worth of our educations and family upbringing. Which thoughts and beliefs are we still carrying around from childhood?

Lastly, the Venus retrograde is notorious for the soulmate connection or attracting a partner from the past or far past.  Those with planets in Gemini, Sagittarius will be most affected but some form of reconnection can occur for all of us.

Continuing with the Gemini theme, we experience a solar beginning eclipse on May 20th at the earliest degree of the twins.  Here is an opportunity to upgrade our mental processes and seek different answers to the same recurring questions.  A + B does not necessarily equal C.  Note how we limit our options by choosing the same assumptions and presuming a certain outcome.  Break free in your mind and allow the Venus energy to infuse your mental body with love.
