This month we move more fully into the Uranus square Pluto energies of dramatic change.   While the second of six aspects was exact last month on Sept 18th, the reverberations will be felt all month long as the Moon and inner planets set off the energies.  You may have experienced an epiphany or awakening or shock on last month’s full moon on September 29th as the World Axis degrees were lit up, continuing to show where the area of greatest personal growth lies.

Now as Saturn moves into Scorpio for a 2 1/2 period starting on Oct 5th, we will be more firmly entrenched in  a same or different story of security and desire.  Mars already gave an indication of what this personal saga would look like last month and the drama will continue to unfold throughout the fall and winter months, reaching a peak, adjustment or culmination in February 2013.

Saturn in Scorpio is about examining our committments and their authenticity and integrity.  For what reasons are we in relationships?  What needs are or are not being fulfilled?  While in theory we should be able to take care of our own inner needs, in reality, we joyfully chose to unite with others on the journey of life.  Sometimes the partnership is healthy, oftentimes not.  Any unconscious patterns around give and take, assumptions of exchange as in sex for money, or staying small in order to not derail the relationship, will backfire if they have not been negotiated clearly.  This can be a difficult or transformative transit, with the ability to reach alchemical union with another should the stars align.

Jupiter, the cosmic expander, retrogrades on Oct 4th, the day before the Saturn in Scorpio ingress.  We have been universally prompted to grow in our communication skills as well as our ability to understand the relativity of truth.  Writing, speaking, teaching are all highlighted areas and if you’ve begun to strengthen or utilize these abilities, you may find a temporary timeout is required.  All is not as it seems (Gemini in a low form is the liar) and so more information might need to come to light before we proceed any further.  Like a Mercury retrograde, this is a good time for rewrites and reconnections.

The fact that Jupiter retrogrades the day before Saturn moves into Scorpio suggests that some vital piece of information is missing in your financial and legal affairs so it would behoove you to slow down and rethink your objectives.

As we approach the bewitching season, the Sun will move into Scorpio on Oct 22nd and highlight the deeper process of integration that may be required in order to create the relationship of your dreams.

In fact, the rest of 2012 through 2014 will host a very elegant Saturn trine Neptune configuration.  This can allow us to manifest our goals quite easily, provided they come from a pure place.  On the low end, trines can enable addictions to spin out of control.  Codependency, sexual addiction and gambling in particular may become serious  learning lessons during these next couple of years.

The fall season and beyond will be one of the most trying and transcendent of times and this will be determined by one’s ability to own one’s shadow.  Couples should be willing to reveal their darker nature, particularly around sexual proclivities or financial behavior.  No worries, by facing the recesses of one’s psyche, one becomes free by turning the darkness into light.  If you are seeking a sexual soulmate, this is the perfect season of your life to magnetize such a partner, particularly if Scorpio or Pisces are prominent in your natal chart.
