When we decide to step up and make our dreams happen in a big way, one of the things that can fall to the wayside pretty quickly is the care of our bodies. We start living like we’re just the round thing on top of our neck, and perhaps – hopefully – our heart also. But the truth is, when we integrate our whole body into the equation –magic happens!
Your body is the hot ass home for your soul. Take good care of it.
The health of your body affects your mood, your thinking, and your energy to get stuff done. So, there’s more than just a vague correlation between deeply nourishing your body and having your dream life.
The other day I was talking with a girlfriend about the main things people want in their lives: love, happiness, money, beauty, health, unity, acceptance, a career they enjoy, and to know their purpose in life.
All totally achievable.
But, it got me thinking, about our desire as humans to know our purpose. We go to great lengths to find out: we get our palms read, we take tests, we ask our friends what they value in us, we dive into our childhoods searching for the essence of our purpose that must have always been there. Bad posture can produce all sorts of negative effects on your body and life. And though many of us are unconscious of our body positioning – it isn’t just our mothers that notice we’re slouching.
First, there are the health concerns that bad posture can bring. It can produce significant stress on our muscles and joints and even our internal organs. It can cause debilitating pain that dampens our ability to exercise, which in turn, creates a whole new slew of issues.
Many of the people that I work with on manifesting their lives want to increase their financial abundance. It seems to be a common desire, which makes sense. To a degree, money creates freedom to travel, take time off work, have adventures, and experience different aspects of the world. There is nothing wrong with wanting money.
However, money can be one of the most difficult things for people to manifest because even as we set our intention to create it, we have a subconscious argument going on. My general stance on life is to live in the present, lean into the future, and not spend a lot of time wallowing in past heartbreaks or how my parents messed me up. However, the unequivocal value of creating self trust is worth a little dip into the past.
