From ancient Egypt, to the 1960’s, to Hollywood now in 2010, the cat eye is a timeless look that always seems to come back in style.
A cat eye makeup look is a fun way to spice up your eyes for a summer night out on the town. This look may seem intimidating, but with practice, and the correct products, you will be able to master this look in no time. Soon you will get this extremely sexy look with no fear.
The tools you will need:
Waterproof Gel Pot Eyeliner in Black
Thin Pointed Eyeliner Brush
Eye Shadow Base
Light Beige Eye Shadow
Eye Shadow Brush
Waterproof Brow Pencil
Eyelash Curler
Black Mascara
1) Pat an eye shadow base all over from lash to brow to even out the skin of the eyelid. Blend with your finger.
2) Using an eye shadow brush, pat a light beige tone eye shadow on the lid for a subtle brightening effect.
3) Do not forget to fill in the eyebrows. The eyebrows frame the eyes and the entire face. Stick with waterproof so your brows don’t fade or run.
4) Draw a thin line with a thin pointed eye liner brush into the lashes beginning from the tear duct towards the outer part of the eye using a waterproof gel pot liner.
5) Where your eye naturally curves up and where your eyelashes flick up, begin to subtly draw your line upward.
6) Dip your brush again into your gel liner and from the tip of your line where it ended, draw another line inward to thicken the line, forming a scalene triangle.
7) Fill in your space between the two lines.
8 ) Go back and draw over your liner you made during step 4 and slightly thicken and darken.
9) To make more dramatic, line the lower inner waterline and connect your lines.
10) Curl your eyelashes.
11) Brush mascara into your eyelashes. Add more coats for more drama.
Good luck with your sexy cat eye look. This will be super easy to recreate.
