Are you a cheerleader for other people? Do you cheer them onto victory and feel happy when they achieve success, even if it is something you may want in your own life?

Or does something good happening to someone else feel like something bad happening to you? That if he/she gets what you want, the universe may run out when it’s your turn? Do you fear that there may not be enough good stuff to go around?

In Deepak Chopra’s Creating Abundance: The A-Z Steps to a Richer Life, he suggests that exalting in the success of others is the quickest way to your own success. It feels good to release the fear that their success somehow negatively impacts you; it doesn’t unless your say it does. It is the feelings you hold longest that create the vibration that draws like energy into your life, right? Right.

This week I want to challenge you to cheer other people’s victories, even if you have to fake it ‘til you make it.

Realize that there is more than enough to go around; it’s a scientific fact. The mass of the universe does not change; it just changes form (energy), so there always has been and always will be ample supply. Replace, why them and NOT me with them now, me next!

Focus on your infinite energetic field. When you are in a begrudging, envious state of mind, you are constricted. Constriction blocks your flow of energy just like a dam blocks the flow of water. The higher the wall you build, the more flow you block. You also keep all the negativity within the pool that your dam creates. As the energy continues to stagnate within this confinement, the negativity grows. This is why when you live with constriction, you become like Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh, and it seems that everything that can go wrong, does. The more bitter and jealous you are, the more situations you encounter that make you bitter and jealous.

To stop that negative cycle, if you raise your vibration and energy level to selflessly supporting others, you bring that like energy to you.

Share your thoughts below on how treating others ultimately effects how you are treated and your view of the world. If your initial response is to feel threatened by another’s good fortune, are you willing to take a deep breath, release fear, and choose a different way of seeing it? What action steps can you take to bring others in your life to victory and truly celebrate their successes?
