Danielle Diamond – Healthy Living
For over 8 years I’ve been teaching a kick-butt yoga class that focuses on alignment and breath to open your body through a creative sequence, designed to make you smile as much as you’ll sweat.
Before I became a certified teacher, I stumbled upon yoga while producing a fitness video for MTV. As a hard-core runner I never thought about flexibility, but the first time I stepped on the mat changed all that. Yoga allowed me to stop and breathe—probably for the first time in my whole life. The physical element of the practice made my body feel great, but more important was the effect learning to meditate had on my mental health. Since that first day, I believe that my daily “cushion sitting” is the sole reason I’ve been able to find peace inside myself—its allowed me to face my biggest fears head on: my mother’s suicide, my father’s bankruptcy and my own body issues.
More and more, I noticed that my students would often lift weights after doing yoga. This inspired me to create Xen Strength to save time and develop a modern twist on yoga that truly meets my clients needs. My program combines a vinyasa flow with light hand weights, and will be featured in the book I am currently writing about yoga with Dr. Barry Sears of The Zone Diet fame.
As a result of my practice, I’m in the best shape of my life—physically, mentally and ultimately spiritually. The eight limbs of yoga have taught me not only the value of compassion and contentment, truth and service, but at the end of the day being okay with each moment and what it holds.
I’m passionate about studying with world-renowned teachers and I travel around to do so. I’ve completed an advanced vinyasa teacher training with Shiva Rea, plus intensive workshops with Tim Miller, Anna Forrest, Cyndi Lee and David Nichtern, Rodney Yee, Bryan Kest, Beryl Bender- Birch, Rolf Gates, Sadie Nardini, and Baron Baptiste.
In addition to my weekly classes and DVD, I also provide private instruction customized for each student’s individual practice. Whether this is your first class, or you have been practicing for years, I tailor the asanas, pace, meditation, and pranayama to suit your level. If you want to get in shape, relax, or are serious about taking your yoga to the next level—possibly embarking on a spiritual practice, your session will reflect that desire.
“Danielle is one of a kind. She lights up a room and has great energy which is incredibly infectious. Her classes are terrific and her new
technique incorporating weights with yoga is genius. As an instructor, she is the perfect combination of both tough and gentle — so she pushes you while always being really encouraging.” Bobbi Brown, Founder and CEO. Bobbi Brown cosmetics….

Abigail Hitchcock – In the Kitchen
Although Abigail Hitchcock was born and raised in Long Island, it wasn’t until she studied Botany while attending university in England and lived in a “self-catering flat” that her love of cooking really began to bloom. Upon returning to the states Abby enrolled in Peter Kump’s New York Cooking School (now the Institute of Culinary Education) and with that diploma in hand she was able to work at The Tea Box at Takashimaya in New York, at Vong in London and at the BBC’s Good Food Magazine. She has been a private chef, worked at Martha Stewart Living Television and run her own catering company.
She eventually settled down as part owner, then sole owner, of CAMAJE bistro in Greenwich Village. It has been open for almost 13 years, something of a record in Manhattan.
In addition to being its chef/owner, Abby began a small cooking school at CAMAJE, and she also leads tours of various New York City neighborhoods—Chinatown Shop and Cook is a perennially sold-out favorite. On selected evenings Abby, with collaborator Dana Salisbury, hosts Dark Dining—sensory feasts served to blindfolded diners which have been featured in New York and national media.
In May 2008 Abby and her husband, Jason Noble, opened Abigail Cafe & Wine Bar, in Prospect Heights near the Brooklyn Museum and Botanic Garden.

Kristen Oliveri – Healthy Living
Food writer by day, financial journalist by day-job, Kristen “Pasta” Oliveri began Pasta’s Kitchen in June of 2009, after a flurry of coworkers noted her incredible brown-bagged Italian cooking outshone anything the nearby chains had for sale. They urged her to create a Web site showcasing her freelance food and wine articles, celebrating her love for food. With bellyfuls of manicotti and minestrone, Kristen’s new nickname and blog were born.
But the story continues. Recently, the newly-named “Pasta” was diagnosed as being gluten and dairy intolerant. What’s a Manhattan food lover to do? Despair? Hardly. Kristen put down the wheat and picked up the pen, shifting her website, her freelance writing, and her recipe books towards a more reasonable way of eating.
These days, Pasta is focused on eating healthy and awareness, maintaining a diet that steers clear of pre-packaged, gluten-riddled, calorie-laden dishes. Not only is she learning to deal with her allergies, but she’s also experimenting in the kitchen to create meals she can share with friends and family that are delicious and overall healthy. And if you’re wondering why she sticks with the beloved Pasta nickname, she’ll tell you she never had to give up her beloved pasta. She just indulges in rice pasta instead.

Lisa Fabrega – Healthy Living
Lisa Fabrega is The Pleasurable Detox Coach who works with women who want to detox their lives and THRIVE. Lisa believes that detox can and should be pleasurable, sexy & feminine. After all, if you aren’t experiencing pleasure while detoxing, then your body will never actually release those toxins anyway!
Women who work with Lisa are able to finally clear out blockages that have been holding them back from living their purpose, so they can finally get started with their “true work”.
Lisa’s passion for this work comes from her own experiences in life. From a young age she was very much a trailblazer and often felt out of place, ultimately disconnecting herself from her passions in order to “blend in”. She also struggled throughout most of her life with emotional eating, weight issues and a weakened immune system. One day after waking up blind in one eye, due to yet another scary immunological flare up, Lisa realized that addressing the overly masculine, punishing way in which she was treating her body with diets, combined with the constant negative self-talk and suppressing her passions was the key to healing her body, mind & soul once and for all. She began to study detoxification methods from various detox experts around the world, worked with powerful spiritual healers and soon enrolled in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition to further her studies. By detoxifying her mind, body and spirit the feminine way, she was able to completely heal her immune system and make peace with her body.
Lisa now lives a fabulous life, luxuriating, traveling, writing music, acting and running a successful coaching practice. Her ultimate mission is to help free women in their lives through her detox work, so that they can finally SHINE.
