Soho – The Spots You Need To Know
Do you think you know Soho? After living in New York City for over eight years and making downtown Manhattan my playground, I am here to tell you that if you don’t know these five hot-spots that help make Soho the Mecca of chic that it’s known to be…you don’t know squat!

You may think you are in the middle of a delicious dream when you enter Anemone, filled with creations mainly from Korean designers. The selection is all-inclusive allowing every size, budget, and style to find a killer piece to add to any wardrobe. Surrounded by dresses starting as low as $60, jackets ranging from only $118 – $300, and great accessories like their belts which start at $38, you are sure to enjoy filling your closet with clothes from this very sweet surprise.

Since 1996, when Global Table first opened, it has been finding eclectic home goods that are both functional and decorative so that you can fill your home with pieces that brighten your day. They do all the traveling for you by pulling inventory from Japan, Australia, Italy, India and China. Plates starting as low as $8, vases ranging from $11 or more, high-end tea sets along with serving trays and other glassware from $12 – $130. Filled with so much color and artistry, you will leave with your hands full of inspiration.

Come down to Fragments, where you will find over 60 of the finest jewelry designers and join celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Sandra Bullock, and Oprah Winfrey in all of the sparkly fun! Don’t be intimidated by the high-end clientele. Fragments has pieces beginning as low as $35. Although their fine jewelry can have you spending up to $17,500 for an Annie Fensterstock gold pendant necklace, you will be sure to find something to cherish no matter how full your wallet is.
49 Prince Street
(212) 226-3580
The brightly painted white walls are a perfect backdrop for this ultra-flirty clothing boutique filled with loads of eye-popping color, as well as basics with an edgy twist. With great pieces priced under $100 up to the $400 items worthy of maxing out your credit cards, you will be certain you’re wearing a unique look from head-to-toe when you shop at Pinkyotto.
120 Prince Street
(212) 941-0111
After a day of running from one hip Soho boutique to the next, you will need an equally happening spot to re-energize! Start with Olive’s mixed greens with balsamic vinaigrette to warm-up your palette. Then, dive into their delicious sandwich-made of ancho chile rub steak with melted jalapeno jack and grilled onions on a baguette. If it’s good enough for Uma Thurman, I’m certain it will satisfy your appetite, too.
For a fun filled day out on the town, print this post and bring it with you! That way you are tapped into what the must-see places are, whether you are with friends or buy yourself it will be sure to be a great day!

How did I not know about Global Table? I’m going this weekend…
I’d like to make some other SoHo suggestions, If I may
NoveCento (novecento.com) – an Argentine restaurant on W Broadway is awesome. One of my most favorite restaurants in the city. They have this great Pinot Noir as well.
Il Corallo – a cozy (read: small) Italian restaurant with amazing pasta dishes is also really good. 172 Prince Street.
Check them out and let me know what you think!
Thanks Daniela, that is so great, I appreciate the colorful additions!
Great spots–will check them out next month when I’m there! Since last summer, I’ve been a lover of Olive’s! When I’m in town, I always stay at 60 Thompson and discovered Olive’s during my last stay. I even came back with a coffee cup for the concierge, as I told him he MUST add it to his little black book. (Although, I do hope he didn’t tell too many people…)
Thank you for the post! I love Pinkyotto but have yet to check out Global Table.
