The transformation of the next few years is aided by the opportunistic sextile between Saturn in Scorpio (shadow work) and Pluto in Capricorn (tyrannical overlord). The two powerful planets are in an astrological configuration called mutual reception. This is an occurance whereby the two planets can swap out or mix and match their energies in whatever way is most evolutionarily sound. In this instance, Saturn in the sign of Scorpio (the rebirth of passion) working positively with Pluto in Capricorn (destroyer of outmoded structures) can get the job of transformation and resurrection done. While this energy has been in play since December 2012, there is an exact lineup of these two titans on March 11th at a degree that will presage larger global changes in April.
This month we move more fully into the Uranus square Pluto energies of dramatic change. While the second of six aspects was exact last month on Sept 18th, the reverberations will be felt all month long as the Moon and inner planets set off the energies. The lackadaisical Taurus energy emanating this month belies many of the changes coming our way in June. We start out with the Sun, Jupiter and then Mercury moving into the sign of luxury and manifestation. Jupiter, who in Taurus is all about materialization, is bringing us what we have hoped and dreamed for on the material plane, especially as he is reaching the later degrees of the sign. So we may reach a pinnacle of reality-based matters and find that even there we may choose to seek out value in other areas.
This will be patently true when Venus, planet of love and value, turns retrograde in Gemini on May 15th. Gemini is the twins, duality, masculine/feminine intertwined and we may find ourselves questioning our prescribed definitions of these energies. We are entering a rather turbulent month which will be cracking open our pyches and our minds. The initiatory energy of Aries is rampant on many levels and we will find ourselves taking the next steps forward in our lives. Mercury turns direct on April 4th at 23 Pisces. It had reached 6 Aries last month only to turn backward into the sign of dreaming. It was necessary to see if our head and hearts were in alignment. Whatever insights we gained are presaging a major direction shift in June when Uranus squares Pluto. Once the communication planet streaks back into Aries on the 17th, we will see how our walkabout served us. After this, the energy shifts from thinking and talking to doing and being.
Pluto, our power transformation planet, turns retrograde on April 10th. Generally, Pluto stations will bring up a soul crisis that wants to be addressed over the next six months. Depending on your template (birth chart), it can either mean a closer look at power and authority or a situation that reveals our own inner discrepancies. Pluto is concerned with our ultimate soul evolution so he may override the desires of the small ego self who doesn’t want to deal with change. Big things happen on Pluto stations and while we all experience it, those more likely to feel the intensity are those with personal planets at 8 -9 degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn.
